We’d love to help you plan your perfect trip
Feel the Rhythm of Brazil
Brazil is bold, beautiful and bursting with life. From the golden beaches of Rio to the lush Amazon rainforest, this vibrant country invites you to dive into its rich culture, diverse landscapes and unforgettable energy. Whether you come for samba, scenery or sunshine, Brazil never disappoints.
Gaze out from Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, relax in the chic coastal town of Búzios or take in the thunderous power of Iguaçu Falls. Explore the colonial charm of Salvador, cruise the Amazon River in search of wildlife or unwind on the white-sand beaches of Bahia. Every region has its own rhythm, flavour and personality.
Brazil offers endless ways to explore, from private guided city tours to nature-based adventures and luxury beach escapes. Internal flights make it easy to combine different regions into one trip, whether you're looking for culture, wildlife, relaxation or all of the above.
The best time to visit depends on where you’re going. Rio and the coast are ideal from October to March, while the Amazon is more accessible during the drier months of June to November. Carnival season in February is an experience like no other, with music, colour and celebration at every turn.
With Nexus Travel, we’ll help you discover the Brazil that speaks to you. Whether it's dancing in the streets of Rio, exploring jungle trails or sipping a caipirinha by the sea, your journey will be crafted to match your interests and pace.

Best Time to Visit
Brazil is a year-round destination. The dry season from May to September is ideal for wildlife viewing in the Pantanal and Amazon, while December to March is perfect for beach holidays and Carnival celebrations.
Vaccinations
Routine travel vaccinations are recommended. A yellow fever vaccination is strongly advised if visiting the Amazon, Pantanal, or inland regions. Carry your yellow card as proof if required on arrival or departure.
Currency
The local currency is the Brazilian Real (BRL). Cards are widely accepted in cities, but cash is useful in smaller towns and markets. ATMs are common, but may charge international fees.

Portuguese is the official language. English is spoken in some hotels and tourist areas, but learning basic Portuguese phrases will help you connect and navigate more easily.

Pantanal
The best place in South America for spotting wildlife, including jaguars, capybaras, caimans, and hundreds of bird species. A paradise for photographers and nature lovers.
Lençóis Maranhenses
These surreal sand dunes and freshwater lagoons in northeast Brazil are like nowhere else. Best visited during the rainy season from May to August when the lagoons are full.
Getting Around
Brazil is a large country with long distances between highlights. Domestic flights are the most efficient option. Public transport is available in cities, but private transfers are more comfortable for longer journeys.
Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is essential, covering health, cancellations, and any planned adventure activities. Check your cover includes areas like the Amazon and Pantanal.
Packing Essentials
Bring lightweight clothing, insect repellent, sun cream, and swimwear. For the Amazon or Pantanal, pack long sleeves, walking shoes, and a rain jacket. A power bank is useful for remote areas.
Local Etiquette
Brazilian culture is warm and expressive. A friendly greeting and smile go a long way. Dress modestly in churches and formal settings, even in tropical regions.
Safety Advice
In major cities, avoid displaying valuables and be cautious in unfamiliar areas after dark. Use hotel safes, stick to well-known transport options, and seek local advice when needed.
