Entry Requirements
UK citizens do not need a visa for stays up to 90 days. A valid passport with at least six months’ validity is required. You may also be asked for proof of onward travel and accommodation.
Best Time to Visit
December to April is the dry season, offering sunny weather and cooler breezes. From June to November, expect occasional showers and lush greenery with fewer crowds and better rates.
Vaccinations
No specific vaccines are required, but Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and Tetanus are recommended. Always check with a travel clinic before your trip, especially if visiting rural areas.
Currency
The Eastern Caribbean Dollar (XCD) is the official currency. US Dollars are widely accepted. Credit cards are used in most hotels and restaurants, and ATMs are available in towns and resorts.
Language
English is the official language and spoken everywhere. You may also hear Grenadian Creole, a dialect used informally by locals and rooted in African, French, and Caribbean influences.
Electricity
Grenada uses 230V with Type G plugs, the same as in the UK. No adaptor is needed for UK visitors. Electricity supply is reliable across the island, including in more remote areas.
Grand Anse Beach
